Custom Home #2

A high-efficiency HVAC addition designed to deliver independent comfort control across multiple floors.

This 2024 residential addition project required a custom HVAC solution capable of efficiently conditioning two separate floors while maintaining balanced airflow and consistent temperatures throughout the space. Advantage Service Group handled the full design-build process, including engineered load calculations, custom duct layout design, and all required county permitting as a licensed Class A Mechanical contractor.

The Foundation of a Zoned Comfort System

Complete design-build engineering

Custom HVAC drawings and load calculations ensured the system was properly sized for the 1,330 sq. ft. addition and integrated seamlessly with the existing home.

19 SEER Carrier Infinity heat pump system

A high-efficiency Carrier Infinity system was selected to provide advanced comfort control, quiet performance, and long-term energy savings.

Two-zone airflow control

The addition was designed with two zoning dampers, allowing each floor to operate independently for more consistent temperatures and improved efficiency.

Custom duct design strategy

Because the system serves two levels, ASG engineered a duct layout specifically designed to isolate airflow between floors and reduce uneven heating and cooling.

Independent zoning controls

Dedicated zoning controls allow homeowners to adjust comfort separately between floors, helping eliminate common hot and cold spot issues.
